what a yummy treat on a hot summer day! Our children would eat their weight in it if we let them!

JUNE!
I’ve finally made it to june! Almost caught up!
swimming at the lake. Logan’s practically grown gills this summer! She is such a swimmer.
Miles loves to swim too. However, we don’t let him out of this contraption too often. He loves to float and kick around in the water.
We have been loving peaches this summer. Logan just loves to take her shirt off and dig right in!
s’mores!
sprinkler and popsicles at lolly and papa’s
Summertime means spending lots of time at lolly and papa’s house. I’m still catching up on the blog, so these pictures are from the end of may. The kids love running in the sprinkler and it’s always fun to cool off with a popsicle!

miles’ first salon trip
I have trimmed Miles’ hair once before, maybe back in october. It was definitely time for a real haircut… he was due! check out the before…
what a wild, curly mess!
I was afraid he would be ridiculous and not sit in the chair at all. Boy, was I wrong! He sat so still. It must have been relaxing or something. =)
So handsome!
Last day of school!
It really hit me hard this year on the last day of school. My babies are growing up! I just can’t believe how fast this year flew by! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful preschool and such loving teachers.
I snuck a few pictures of miles out on the playground on the last day of school.
We just love Miss. Linda and Miss Renee. So sad my children won’t be in their class anymore! These are some very special ladies. So thankful that they taught both Logan and Miles!
Logan just loved Miss Mary and Miss Julie this year. We will miss them also!
The only picture I got at the dance recital. At least I got some at their rehearsal. She did really well and it was so cute to see all of them on the stage!
If you didn’t already know, Miles loves ears! He loves his ears and any other ears he can get his grubby paws on. The other day, Logan and Miles were sitting in the chair together. They were pretty cozy complete with blanket, pillow, kitty kitty meow meow meow and boo. Miles was so excited because he could hold his ear and Logan’s at the same time! Oftentimes, when I’m holding him, he will push my head around where he can reach my other ear. I don’t usually let him do this, but sometimes he’s relentless! He has loved his ears since he was a tiny little thing!
keepin’ it a little bit redneck…
we busted out the pool and the kids love it. since it was so early in the season I hadn’t yet washed their new suits. Soooooo, they just swam in their clothes. Better than just a diaper, right?! Oh, wait. We did that too…
swim diaper and a pajama top! (at least it’s a swim diaper, right?!)
and a boo!
aren’t we fancy with our slide?! It even has an attached sprinkler!
teddy bear picnic at miles’ school
We were invited to miles’ school in mid-may for a teddy bear picnic. It was so cute! The kids brought their favorite stuffed animal and we all had a little picnic. They also sang a few songs that they had been singing all year. Miles was not interested in singing at all. His face was quite hilarious. I don’t think he knew what to think!
Showing us how he plays at school
this is how he sat during their songs
eventually, he started holding his ear. I guess he was tired!
hanging out with some friends before heading to the playground
driving the car
sitting with daddy on the playground
A little bit of lake fun!
may continued
one of our first trips to the lake this summer!
It was a little bit too cold for swimming. So we did a lot of fishing and boat riding!
Logan still loves to fish.
Miles took us on a boat ride
Then he got tired and let grandaddy drive.
He seriously was so still I thought he might go to sleep. Last year, he did not tolerate boat rides well. He tired of them quickly and had to move about the boat pretty much the whole time.
laid back!
please note jordan’s hat. I did not buy this. However practical it may be, it is still heinous. =)
oh, and here are a few pictures of logan painting her nails! So glamorous!
