icky sicky!
six months!
Miles turned six months old on 9-16. So, I'm a few weeks late on this post... He had his checkup last week and got four shots! He only cried for a minute and then he was fine.
weight 18lbs 12 oz (50th %ile)
length 27.5in (75th %ile)
He has definitely started to slim down and lengthen out. He is a jolly green giant compared to logan at this age. I can't get over the fact that he's wearing 18 mth clothes this winter! He is such a sweet boy; very good-natured. Still loves his big sister and is so happy to watch her antics. He started sitting completely on his own right at six months. It's nice to be able to put him down and not really worry about him throwing himself backward. He's still waking about once a night to nurse, the time he wakes up varies though. He naps about 1.5 hrs in the morning and 1.5 hrs in the afternoon. I had not been very disciplined in giving him solids. The pedi encouraged me to make sure he at least gets cereal once a day for the iron. Fruits and veggies just whenever. So, he's getting better about eating the cereal. I do mix fruit with it, but he's still not much of a fan. I don't really blame him! He has started pushing up while laying on his belly and I've seen him scoot a few times. (!!!) He pretty much rolls to get toys and whatever interests him. He has shown interest in Logan's toys, especially! He's been sleeping on his belly since before he turned 6 mths. He also acquired his first ear infection right around the time he turned 6 mths. Poor little buddy! We tried taking him off of prevacid, but that didn't go so well. Evidently, he is still refluxing and it's burning without the prevacid. We'll try again in a few months. Hopefully, he'll outgrow the reflux soon. He's not spitting up as much most days. Of course, some days are better than others.
shopping, serious train rides and yet another good look
"look!" ...that's my girl!
This was the most serious train ride I'd ever seen anyone take. We went to a little carnival at a park the other day. Believe it or not, Logan loved this train ride. She is so funny and just won't crack a smile when doing stuff like this. She rode the entire time without smiling. When she got out, she wanted to do it again!
Logan sees Elmo!
A few weeks ago, Logan got to see Elmo and all of his friends (9-15.) She didn't know about it until 30 minutes before we left for the show. If we had told her any earlier, she would have been beside herself for days! She had a great time. I thought for sure that she'd do some dancing or something, but these days she gets embarrassed pretty easily. At first, when the show started, I thought Logan was sick or didn't feel well. Her eyes were really watery and she looked pale. Finally, Jordan and I figured it out.... her eyes were watery because she wouldn't blink! All she could do was stare! It was hysterical. Needless to say, she had a great time. When it was over and we were driving back to grandmama and grandaddy's house, she wanted to "go back!"
This is what her face looked like most of the show
