a chipped toof

On Sunday evening, Logan tripped and fell on the rocker of a rocking chair. Thankfully, there wasn't any blood or busted lips. As soon as she fell, I just knew when I picked her up she wouldn't have any teeth. We took her to the pediatric dentist yesterday and they said everything looks good. It just looks like she chipped her front tooth. We will watch it, but we're pretty sure it will be fine.

While we were there, they brushed her teeth with a toothbrush and polished her front teeth. She was very good about everything. Good thing we brought daddy along so he could hold her. She was very wriggly! She definitely wasn't fond of sitting for so long. Overall, they said we are doing a good job with her oral care and to keep up the good work. Yay!

On another note, I dropped Logan of at MDO this morning and there were NO tears! I think she may have even smiled! Woohoo! I've been at home doing domestic things like putting dinner in the crock pot, laundry and blogging. I'm so glad she is loving her 'school.'

Here are a few pictures of Logan's 'bike.' It isn't quite put together yet as it also has a cool canopy to keep the sun off of her, but it's put together enough to play with it. We took it outside last night for her to ride and silly me forgot the camera. What was I thinking?! By the time I'd gotten back, she was totally over riding it. Instead, she wanted to push it. We tried putting her back on the seat, no way. Pushing it is way more fun!

Logan and I went to the zoo again on Monday with our friends Kim and Caroline. This is the best picture I got of the two of them. Maybe Kim has a better one. They were so cute. They even held hands when we walked!

Now that the weather is much cooler, we're spending more time outside. Logan loves it. If she even hears someone say the word, 'outside,' she runs to the door. As you can see, she is very busy when she is outside.

We went to the zoo last Sunday to enjoy the fabulous weather. We haven't been much over the summer because it was just too darn hot. Sunday was a perfect day!

a parade and the park

We woke up this morning to a beautiful day so we decided we would head downtown for a parade. We're still not sure what the parade was for, even after watching it.... Nevertheless, it was still fun and the weather was so, so nice! I just love this time of year!

The last parade Logan saw was at Christmas and she was very excited about it. She loved the marching band and even danced a little bit. Today, she wasn't quite sure what to think. Most of the time, she just stared and occasionally, she'd wave. Jordan and I got a kick out of watching her.

After the parade was over, we went to the park. Logan just loves it! She thinks she is big stuff because she can walk up the steps and slide down the slide.

We had such a fun time at the park. I'm sure we'll be going there much more often now that Logan is walking well (ie: running.) One of her favorite things other than the above mentioned, is when she sees a dog. She gets so excited and yells, "doggy, doggy!" very loudly. It really is too cute. She thinks dogs are great. She also thinks all small furry animals are dogs!

Overall, we had a very nice day. ... and since it's still very nice out, we're going to go outside to play some more!

mdo update

Logan is slowly but surely beginning to like mother's day out. I was beginning to think that she was going to just cry forever because last week when we pulled in the parking lot, she started bawling.

Yesterday was a different story. She cried long enough for me to make it back to the car after dropping her off. Each day, the teachers send home a progress report to let you know how the day went, if they ate their snack, had a dirty diaper etc.... (yes, the day is only 3 hrs, but it is nice to know how those 3 hrs went!) On her report it said she had a great day. She played independently, danced and smiled! Woohoo! I was so excited to know that she finally had a good day.

Also, Logan made her first masterpiece! The theme for the week is sunflowers. L got to finger paint for the first time. I am so proud of her work!

Lo's first day of school!

Logan's first day of school was last week. As I anticipated, she had no problem with me leaving her. She saw the other children and the toys and was trying to push the door down to get inside. So, I left thinking all was well....

I got back three hours later and as soon as I walk in the building, I hear Logan crying. The ladies told me she had done very well the first half and was fussy and clingy the second half. I figured she must have been hungry because she didn't eat well that morning.

Day two didn't go much better. She cried as soon as I handed her over to her teachers. When I got back at the end of the day (three hours later), they did say she played a good bit but was still clingy and a little fussy.

This is the first time I have ever left Logan with anyone that she doesn't know, so I know it will take a little bit of time for her to warm up to her teachers and the other children. I know eventually she will love it.

Tomorrow is day 3. Hopefully, it will go better!

what happens when uncle k babysits...

My brother was nice enough to come up a few weeks ago to watch Logan so Jordan could go to a football game and I could go to preschool orientation. Orientation was only an hour so I was only to be gone about an hour and a half. Logan had already been fed and had a dirty diaper that day. So, Kevin was prepared to sit back and play with L.

When I got home later that evening, I walked through the laundry room on my way in. I saw that the changing pad cover was wadded on the floor, so I knew Logan had given uncle Kev a surprise. heehee! He said she did it about 10 mins after I left! Pretty much after I walked in the door, Kevin walked out. I guess he'd had enough fun... So, I put Logan up on the changing table to access the damage, you know see if he had cleaned her up well, etc. Anyhow, he gets an A+ in the cleaning dept, but didn't fair so well in the diaper putting on dept. The diaper was backwards and not even fastened! Thank goodness, Logan had on a onesie-type outfit that kept the diaper from falling off! I was laughing so hard that I cried and Logan thought it was so funny that I was laughing. I guess I should have given a better lesson on diaper changing!
