Miles had his 9 month checkup today.

cbc panel done to check iron levels and all look great.

Overall, a great checkup. He definitely is not a fan of lying on the exam table. It's funny how they remember and associate things at such a young age! His next checkup will be at one year. (one year?! time has flown by!)

Logan had fun dressing up with grandmama's feather boa, white gloves and 'ballerina hat!' She wasn't quite sure what to think, but she definitely liked it!

9 months

Miles has continued to become such a character. He is a very busy boy that loves to get into whatever Logan is doing. He is a pretty fast crawler now and is happy to follow us around the house. He also loves to go into Logan's room all by himself and get into all kinds of things. He is also starting to pull up on things onto his knees. He now says "da da da" and loves to blow raspberries (motorboat) all the time. He got his first tooth around Thanksgiving and isn't showing any signs of another one. He is always rolling his tongue around feeling that little chiclet in there. It does look pretty funny in there all by itself. He has started sleeping 12hrs straight at night and takes two 1.5 hr naps. He is not interested in finger foods at all yet; just mainly purees and oatmeal. It has been so interesting seeing the difference between Logan and Miles. Miles is much more active than Logan was as a baby... it almost blows my mind that he's as busy as he is! He's not busy in a naughty way; he's just busy!
He has his 9mth checkup on monday, so I'll update with his weight and length then.

Logan bakes cookies and a cake

Logan was extremely excited to help me make pumpkin cookies, pumpkin cake and carrot cake for Thanksgiving. As soon as she realized what I was doing, she requested a chair so she could assist in the baking. At first it started off pretty innocently and then the brown sugar came out. She decided that she likes brown sugar a lot! She had a great time and was very proud of her cookies and cakes. She still talks about her pumpkin cookies (a month later!)

eight months

Miles is now eight months old and is such a little person. It seems like he just turned into a little person overnight and is no longer a tiny baby. He started clapping and rocking on all fours on the same day. The following week, he started crawling! He's also developed a little bit of a temper and will throw himself on the floor if you do something that he doesn't like. This always makes me laugh even though I shouldn't. I mean seriously, an eight month old is throwing himself on the floor because I took a hanger away from him. It's pretty hilarious. Even with the little rare fit, he is still such a little love-bug. He's also very proud of himself that he can now clap.

halloween

Logan had her very first sucker ever on halloween day. She is forever changed. We pretty much hear about suckers every day.

We went to a little fall festival. Logan thoroughly enjoyed bouncing in the inflatable bounce houses and we all enjoyed a hay ride.
And here is the bumblebee.

This girl was SO excited about halloween. She told us she was ready for halloween every day. As a matter of fact, she's still telling us that she's ready for halloween. ....then she says she's ready for thanksgiving.
