another weekend at grandmama and grandaddy's

These pictures are from the weekend before Easter. Cousin Everett was in town for a visit. So, we went down to grandmama and grandaddy's house for the weekend.

We took Logan and Everett to an Easter egg hunt. Logan got a little restless... Even though she had her bucket on her head, she was still listening! She's a hoot!
hunting eggs.... I think logan found 41. she's hardcore. next year, everett will be major competition.

they soon decided that mulch spreading wasn't all that fun and decided to play in the dirt!

grandmama saved all of jordan's he-man stuff from when he was little. It's pretty scary-looking, but they all loved it. My brother also had all of the same stuff and I loved to play with it when I was little. Logan especially loved all the he-man stuff.

This picture makes me laugh. Bright and early sunday morning. I don't think any of them were quite awake.

miles' new trick

miles has three teeth. two on bottom, one on top

The other day miles decided it would be fun to make a mess with his milk. He would slurp it up the straw, but wouldn't swallow it. The front of his shirt was soaked. He had a wonderful time.

if you look closely, he still has milk running down his chin. btw, this is his favorite toy. he will play with it forever.

working at grandmama and grandaddy's

Logan helped grandaddy spread mulch the other weekend. Lots of grunting was involved. She's a hard worker.

Miles supervised. Next year, he'll be put to work.

Logan wasn't too sure about the tractor ride. She was sure about her tootsie roll pop, though.

happy 1st birthday!

It's so hard to believe my sweet boy is a year old! This year flew by.... and I'm not just saying that; it really did!
miles is now:
-cruising all over the place
-bear crawling (legs straight)
-taking a few steps here and there. Yesterday, he took five!
-saying bye-bye, ma ma, da da, hey, 'uh' part of uh-oh
-pretty much eats what we eat
-almost finished with the bottle. he halfheartedly takes about 4 oz of diluted formula at night.
-into EVERYTHING
-constantly closing his fingers in drawers
-loves to be outside. he cries if you open the door and he doesn't get to go out.
-still taking two fairly big naps
-still battling an ear infection. we're on antibiotic #3 he hasn't felt too great recently... add to the ear infection, allergies. this pollen is awful!
-very loving. he will come over to me and lay his head against my legs/feet/lap for a quick love and then he's off again.
-he loves balls and will throw a ball and crawl to get it all over the house
-he also loves cars and will push a car/truck all over the house while crawling (he's done this for about two months)

Birthdays!

We celebrated Logan and Miles' birthdays together about a month ago. (I know it's taken me forever to post pictures!) Both sets of grandparents came. We took Logan to monkey joe's for a bit, then we came home for pizza, ice cream and presents. Logan and Miles had a great time. I can't believe they're one and three!



Logan's not so sure about this dress-up stuff, but I think she likes it!

Miles woke up from his nap and checked out his new car!

Logan ate her cake like a civilized person. She kept looking at Miles like he was crazy!

This is how miles ended up. He was a fan of cake.... it just took him a while to warm up to it.
